Villa Elevator Guide
How to plan a home elevator during renovation.
Review shaft space, pit depth, door opening and interior design expectations early in the project.
Survey the available space first
A renovation project should begin with a measured survey of the proposed shaft position. Record the clear width and depth, pit, top-floor overhead, floor-to-floor heights and the route for bringing equipment into the building.
Door direction, nearby stairs, windows and structural beams can affect the practical cabin size. The selected drive route should fit the building rather than forcing unnecessary reconstruction.
Plan daily use and interior coordination
Discuss the users, required accessibility, expected stops, power supply and finish direction together. Cabin glass, lighting, floor and operating panels should be approved against the home interior before production.
- Measured shaft and access route
- Pit and overhead limitations
- Door position and landing circulation
- Power supply and emergency operation
- Cabin finish and lighting direction
