Project Reference
Public building projects require stronger coordination notes.

Traffic, access control, installation schedule and usage pattern all affect product choice.
Coordinate users, systems and schedule
Public projects involve more stakeholders than the equipment supplier and main contractor. Passenger flow, accessibility, access control, fire strategy, power supply and maintenance routes must be reviewed together.
Installation access and protection of finished public areas should be included in the construction schedule. Late decisions on doors, finishes or controls can affect several trades.
Keep a shared interface register
A simple register should identify each opening, support, power, signal and finish decision, together with the responsible party and required date.
- Passenger and service circulation
- Structural openings and supports
- Power, fire and access-control signals
- Installation and protection sequence
- Testing, training and maintenance access
